Artists, Writers and Hobbyist

To Artists, Writers and Hobbyist who might try to think outside their box.

Reason for this letter:
I would like to encourage Artists, Writers and Stamp dealers / collectors to broaden their humanitarian and or business objective(s). Sorry to appear as an out of place hobbyist giving professionals advise. But, for some artists I suggest you broaden your skills and ideas. I humbly suggest you might try doing artwork on envelopes.

For some writers I again humbly suggest you broaden your skills by placing a written letter in the artists’ envelopes.

For dealers, collectors and hobbyists like me the idea would be for us to market the art envelope and letter combination.

Marketing:
I’m still in the very early stages of this marketing idea. I will send you a 9-11 Art envelope with a humanitarian type letter enclosed. My marketing idea also includes free collector stamps attached to the letter. Since this is a one-man operation I can only offer one art envelope with a stamped attached letter per person. For this service I request a donation of only $3.00. I’m going to try and help disabled Veterans.
This may sound funny but I’m a Vietnam combat Veteran and this hobby seems to help me deal with my depression!

Art:
Abstract impression of 9-11.
Upper left side metaphorically shows the American flag shredded by the first plane. Left side of the envelope also shows the second plane again shredding the flag and about to hit the second tower.

This first plane has already hit the first twin-tower. The tower is shown collapsing causing a great deal of smoke. The face of The Scream by artist Munch, is interlaced within the flag’s shreds and or in the bellowing smoke. This famous painting by Munch is used to symbolically express America’s fear and pain.

Little x marks are used to respectfully represent victims jumping from the tower.

The far right shows both towers collapsed but the Statue of Liberty is still standing tall.

Lower left and front of the envelope represents the New York skyline.

On most of my 9-11 envelope paintings I try to use a lot of color to represent American’s positive attitude even when events appear the darkest.

Sincerely,
